Christie Obiaya, CEO, Heliogen, Inc.

Christie Obiaya has served as CEO of Heliogen, Inc. (NYSE: HLGN) since February 2023. She originally joined the company as CFO in March 2021 and led the finance function through Heliogen’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2021. Obiaya previously spent more than 11 years at Bechtel Corporation, serving most recently as CFO and head of strategy for Bechtel Energy. Her earlier experience includes working on renewable energy projects in Kenya and India and serving as Senior Product Manager/Senior Engineer at Procter & Gamble. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Rob Wertheimer, Director of Research, Melius Research

Rob Wertheimer serves as Director of Research at Melius Research, where he is also the lead research analyst for the global machinery sector with additional coverage responsibilities in industrial tech. Mr. Wertheimer brings more than a decade of machinery research experience to Melius and has been recognized as a top three analyst by Institutional Investor magazine. Prior to Melius Research, Mr. Wertheimer was the lead machinery analyst at Barclays Plc, Vertical Research, and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Wertheimer began his career in the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa.Mr. Wertheimer is co-author of the critically acclaimed book, “Lessons from the Titans” which chronicles success and failure in industrial America over the past half century. Mr. Wertheimer earned a B.A. in Geology from Carleton College and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua school of business
