Mark Loehr, Chief Executive Officer, OpenExchange Incorporated

Mark is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the financial sector. Mark’s vision for OpenExchange is driven by his ability to see where traditional financial services are enhanced by technological advancements. He was previously CEO of Soundview Technology Group and, through its acquisition of Soundview, an EVP of Charles Schwab Corp. Before Soundview, Mark was the head of investment banking of the firm’s predecessor, Wit Capital, the first online investment bank, known for pioneering innovation to the distribution of IPOs. Earlier in his career, he was with Smith Barney, and was president of Smith Barney Pacific, head of global equity sales and head of equity capital markets. Mark currently serves on the board of Proctor Academy. He earned his BA in economics from Cornell University.

Michael Kolowich, Chief Content Officer, OpenExchange Incorporated

An internationally recognized pioneer in online media, Michael was founder and CEO of KnowledgeVision Systems, a video and smart media platform that was acquired by OpenExchange in 2019. A former Lotus, Ziff-Davis and AT&T executive who was a prominent architect in the internet content revolution, he is an accomplished business strategist, technology executive, and Emmy-winning creative talent with WGBH-TV. In addition to his work in media, he was a vice president and partner at the global strategy consulting firm of Bain and Company. Michael is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. An avid pilot, Michael has served on the Board of Directors of Piper Aircraft and AmSafe Global Holdings, and is an Overseer of Boston’s Museum of Science and a Trustee Emeritus of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.

Emilia Tapsall, VP, Global Delivery, OpenExchange

Emilia leads the operations team for virtual conferences at a time of explosive growth for OpenExchange. Prior to joining OpenExchange, Emilia was an investment banker in Deutsche Bank’s Global Industrials Group where she advised companies across a range of strategic initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and equity & debt offerings. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics.

Alex Kieft, Managing Director, Head of Product Development, OpenExchange

Alex was co-founder and Senior Vice President of Product at KnowledgeVision (acquired by OpenExchange in 2019), where he oversaw the company’s product roadmap, as well as the design and development of the Knovio platform. He worked closely with customers to understand the unique challenges they face, and he collaborates with the engineering team to design and implement solutions that address those challenges. Alex was also responsible for scoping and managing technical integrations between Knovio and partner applications.Prior to becoming part of the founding team at KnowledgeVision, Alex worked as a media architect for DigiNovations, a video production company, and as a film and computer instructor at Concord Academy. He is an accomplished JavaScript programmer and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College, where he studied French Literature and Film and Media Studies.
